Correction note (September 2026 fact-verification pass): This page previously stated that Santander Bank assigns a distinct ACH routing number to each state (New Jersey 021407912, New York 021001486, Pennsylvania/Delaware 031100089, DC/Maryland/Virginia 054015040, plus Massachusetts/Connecticut/New Hampshire/Rhode Island/Vermont/Maine sharing 011075150). That framework does not match Santander’s own official routing-number page. Santander actually uses only two ABA routing numbers nationwide, assigned by account type/date rather than a full 50-state table — the numbers and states below have been corrected against santanderbank.com directly.

Santander’s Two Routing Numbers

According to Santander Bank’s own official routing-number page, there are only two possible ABA numbers:

Routing number Who uses it
011075150 Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island accounts opened on or before May 17, 2012 (11-digit account numbers)
231372691 Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island accounts opened after May 17, 2012 (10-digit account numbers) — and all Santander accounts in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, regardless of when they were opened

Santander’s own page frames it this way: if your account number has 11 digits, your routing number is 011075150; if it has 10 digits, your routing number is 231372691. This is simpler — and more reliable — than trying to guess from your state alone, since CT/MA/NH/RI accounts can fall into either group depending on when they were opened.

Santander Bank’s US retail footprint is concentrated in the Northeast (Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island) plus a Miami-area presence. If your account is outside these states or you are unsure which number applies, confirm directly through online banking or by calling Santander.
